CPI(M)
Campaigns
To
Expose
Congress-INPT
Combine
THE
CPI(M)’s
Tripura
state
committee
has
fervently
called
for
a
statewide
intensification
of
the
ongoing
ideological
campaign
to
completely
isolate
the
Congress-INPT
combine
that
is
out
to
use
ferocious
fascist
methods.
The
call
came
following
the
November
15
meeting
of
the
state
committee.
At
the
beginning
of
its
session,
the
state
committee
paid
tributes
to
the
memory
of
the
party
activists
and
supporters,
as
well
as
the
jawans
of
security
forces,
who
were
martyred
at
the
hands
of
separatist
militants
over
the
intervening
two
months
since
the
last
session
of
the
committee.
In
a
brief
review
of
the
state’s
pre-poll
scenario,
the
committee
noted
with
concern
how
the
anti-people
and
unprincipled
political-electoral
alliance
of
the
Congress
and
INPT
is
making
planned
efforts
to
step
up
murderous
attacks
on
the
Left
Front
leaders,
activists
and
supporters
as
well
as
on
the
security
forces.
It
will
be
noted
that
INPT
is
the
political
mask
of
the
outlawed
extremist
outfit
NLFT.
These
efforts
aim
at
polluting
the
pre-poll
atmosphere
with
terror
and
turbulence.
At
the
same
time,
a
heinous
move
is
under
way
for
a
widow
dressing
of
this
out
and
out
anti-democratic
alliance,
as
was
recently
seen
in
an
article
written
by
Manisankar
Aiyar,
an
AICC
general
secretary
in
charge
of
the
organisation
in
Tripura.
This
is
a
desperate
and
devilish
bid
to
whitewash
the
murky
and
abominable
image
of
the
Congress
that
already
stands
exposed
before
the
peace-loving
and
democratic-minded
people
of
Tripura.
On
the
other
hand,
the
CPI(M)
state
committee
noted
with
satisfaction
the
various
manifestations
of
the
intense
anger,
hatred
and
protest
against
the
unholy
alliance.
There
was
massive
participation
of
the
people
in
the
three
mammoth
rallies
organised
by
the
Tripura
Upajati
Ganamukti
Parishad
(GMP)
on
November
9
in
three
places
of
the
state
including
Agartala,
as
well
as
in
the
marches
and
meetings
organised
by
the
Left
Front
and
several
mass
organisations.
Moreover,
over
the
last
two
months,
a
number
of
listed
hardcore
extremists
have
either
surrendered
and
returned
to
the
mainstream
or
have
been
arrested
by
security
forces.
It
is
in
this
background
that
the
CPI(M)
gave
a
call
to
step
up
the
ongoing
campaign
to
tear
off
the
veil
from
the
heinous
Congress-INPT
combine’s
visage
and
expose
its
real
character
before
the
people.
The
state
committee
asked
the
party
units
at
all
levels
to
make
an
all-out
effort
to
crown
with
a
resounding
success
the
next
month’s
rally
programmes
announced
by
the
Tripura
Schedule
Caste
Coordination
Committee
and
Ganatantrik
Nari
Samity.
The
state
committee
also
asked
the
Left
Front
activists
and
supporters
to
take
an
initiative
the
state
over
to
make
use
of
the
ongoing
revision
of
electoral
rolls
for
inclusion
of
the
names
of
real
voters
and
exclusion
of
the
fake
ones.
The
party
also
noted
the
Left
Front’s
request
to
the
visiting
Election
Commission
members
to
negotiate
with
the
centre
for
return
of
the
army
units
withdrawn
from
the
state
as
also
for
reinforcing
the
para-military
forces
so
as
to
ensure
free
and
fair
polls.
Finally,
the
party
urged
the
state’s
unemployed
engineers,
who
are
on
a
hunger
strike
to
press
for
government
jobs,
as
well
as
their
guardians
for
withdrawal
of
this
irrational
agitation.
It
said
the
Left
Front
government
is
making
ceaseless
and
serious
efforts
to
make
new
appointments.
The
state
is
trying
to
overcome
the
tremendous
hurdles
the
erstwhile
Congress
government
and
the
present
NDA
government
at
the
centre
have
created
regarding
recruitment
by
recklessly
imposing
the
conditions
of
imperialist
globalisation.
The
party
urged
the
state’s
unemployed
engineers
to
make
use
of
the
Tripura
Public
Service
Commission’s
ongoing
process
for
appointment
of
628
posts
of
junior
engineers
in
different
departments
of
the
state
government.
