Constitution
Club
in
Delhi
warmly
remembered
CPI(M)
leader
and
parliamentarian,
Suseela
Gopalan
on
her
first
death
anniversary
on
December
19.
The
function
was
chaired
by
veteran
freedom
fighter
and
INA
legend
Captain
Lakshmi
Sahgal.
Speakers
at
the
meeting
included
CPI(M)
general
secretary
Harkishen
Singh
Surjeet,
Polit
Bureau
member,
Prakash
Karat,
AIDWA
general
secretary
Brinda
Karat
and
others.
All
the
speakers
called
for
a
concerted
battle
against
the
communal
right
wing
offensive
launched
by
the
RSS
combine,
intensification
of
the
fight
for
women’s
equality
and
for
raising
peoples
issues
inside
and
outside
the
Parliament
as
shown
by
Suseela
Gopalan.
This,
it
was
stated,
would
be
the
best
tribute
to
her.
The
function
was
organised
by
the
Janawadi
Mahila
Samiti.
It
may
be
recalled
Suseela
Gopalan
had
been
the
founder
general
secretary
of
the
AIDWA.
