CC Call For Campaign
(September 20 to 30, 2002)
ALL
party units must launch a countrywide campaign and movement from September 20 to
30 through public meetings, demonstrations, marches and other forms of mass
campaigns and mobilisation.
They
must highlight six major issues affecting the people and the country:
1)
Investigation of corruption cases concerning the BJP-led government and
prosecution of all those guilty.
2)
Immediate relief measures for the drought-affected areas by the central
government.
3)
Dismissal of the Narendra Modi government and imposition of president's rule in
Gujarat.
4)
Protection Jammu & Kashmir state's composite character and opposing the RSS
demand for its trifurcation. Holding free and fair elections in the state.
5)
Providing adequate security forces to Tripura by the centre to combat terrorist
outfits. Unmasking the opportunist alliance of the Congress and the INPT.
6)
Opposing the US plans to militarily attack Iraq. The Vajpayee government must
come out firmly against the war plans.
Observe
September 20 all over the country as Drought Relief Day. Organise
demonstrations and dharnas in front of central government offices, FCI godowns,
etc, to press for free foodgrains for the rural poor and initiation of the Food
For Work programmes.
Observe
September 30 all over the country as Tripura Solidarity Day. Demand
that the centre must immediately send army and paramilitary forces to counter
the terrorist attacks. Expose the Congress party’s opportunist alliance with
the terrorist NLFT-backed INPT.
Oppose
the US designs against Iraq by holding demonstrations outside US
diplomatic missions/information centres. The state committees must decide the
suitable dates for such actions.
Distribution
of pamphlets and handbills, street corner meetings and public meetings, bicycle
processions into the villages and other suitable methods must be adopted for
taking the party’s message to the people at large.
