Kerala State Committee Meet
The
Kerala State Committee of CPI(M) which met with Com. M A Baby in chair
unanimously arrived at the following decision.
IT
is decided to expel M.Sathyaneshan, a State Committee member and former
Thiruvananthapuram District Committee Secretary from the Party. This action is
consequent to the Party being convinced on enquiry that he had been regularly
receiving money for private purposes from liquor traders. Sathyanesan's
behaviour was totally unbecoming of a party members. Hence the Party State
Committee decided to give maximum punishment for this very serious lapse on his
part.
In
this connection, it was also decided to suspend the Parasalla Area Secretary
Gouthaman from the Party for one year. The State Committee gave approval to the
decision taken by the Thiruvananthapuram District Committee in this regard.
The
State Committee condoled the demise of Prof.E K Narayanan and his wife Nalini,
who died in a car accident in Thrissur and of Shanmukha who collapsed while
returning after participating in the struggle at Kodungallur.
The
State Committee expressed deep sorrow in the passing away of over 100 people in
the Howrah-New Delhi Rajadhani Express accident. The State Committee demanded an
enquiry to find out the cause of the tragedy and to adopt measures to ensure
that such tragedies are not repeated.

Com. Harkishan Singh Surjeet, P. B. Members Comrades Prakash Karat and
S.Ramachandran Pillai participated in the State Committee meeting apart from the
P.B. Members from Kerala.
