Month
Long Solidarity
The
‘National Committee for Solidarity with Cuba’ has decided to commemorate the
50th anniversary of the Cuban revolution in a big way in our country. A month
long calendar of programmes, beginning from July 26, is being finalised for the
entire country. The inaugural programme will take place in New Delhi on July 26.
A meeting will be conducted in Mumbai on August 2 while similar programmes will
be followed in Chennai and Bangalore.
The committee covenor and CPI(M) MP, A Vijayaraghavan, has in a statement said that in view of the renewed and blatant attacks on Cuba by the US imperialism, there is need for all like-minded people of our country to express solidarity with the struggling people of Cuba by participating in these meetings in large numbers.
