Agreement Highlights

• In unaided colleges including the professional colleges 50% of  seats would be given in the merit quota, admission into which would be decided on the basis of a general entrance examination

• Fees in the self-financing colleges would be reduced. For merit quota seats, the fee would be same as that of government professional colleges. When the government says that two self-financing institutions constitute one government college, this is what it amounts to

• The admission to self-financing medical colleges for the current  year would be made only after the verdict of the Supreme Court is given    

• The increase in the fees for the SSLC, Degree and Post Graduate Classes would be reduced by half

• The unified University Bill would be discussed with the students representatives  

• The fee collected from school students for computer studies would be reduced
