Delegation
Visits CPI(M) Office
An eleven member Chinese delegation headed by He Guoqiang, member, Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, secretary of the secretariat, Central Committee of the CPC, and minister, organisation department of the Central Committee of the CPC, visited the CPI(M) headquarters, AKG Bhavan, and met CPI(M) general secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet, Polit Bureau member, Sitaram Yechury, and Central Committee member, Hari Singh Kang on February 19.
The delegation is India on a two-day visit at the invitation of the government of India. Others in the delegation included Liu Hongeal, Vice Minister, International department of the Central Committee of the CPC, Sun Xiaoqun, Vice Minister, organisation department of the CPC, Wu Shumin, director general, Bureau I, International department of the CPC and Zhou Yongming, director general, Bureau VII, International department of the CPC.
The CPC delegation was warmly welcomed by the CPI(M) general secretary Harkishan Singh Surjeet. The Chinese delegation spent more than an hour with the CPI(M) leaders discussing the situation in India and China. They also took stock of the present international situation.
