VHP’s Nefarious Plans: CPI(M)
The
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) issued the following
statement on September 13, 2004.
HEAVY
security arrangements made by the Maharashtra government prevented the Vishwa
Hindu Parishad from carrying out their plan to destroy the tomb of Afzal Khan
and the so-called “illegal structures” at Pratapgarh in Maharashtra. The aim
of the VHP is to whip up communal passions in order to divide the people on
communal lines. They hope that they can reap benefits in the coming assembly
elections in a communally charged atmosphere. The democratic and secular forces
in the country will certainly defeat the nefarious plans of the VHP and their
friends to divide the people.
