  Fraternal Greetings Of The Workers Party of Korea

At the outset, I would like to warmly congratulate the 18th congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on behalf of the central committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and convey cordial comradely greetings of the Workers’ Party of Korea to the delegates and through you to all the members of your Party.

And, I express my deep thanks to the central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) for kindly inviting a delegation of the Workers’ Party of Korea to take part in this congress.

The 18th congress of your Party is being held when the international situation is very complex. Your congress draws the profound interest and great expectation of all the members of your Party and the broad people of India as well as the progressive people all over the world.

This congress will be a congress of significance that sums up the remarkable success and experiences made during the period under review and set forth new tasks to further strengthen your Party organisationally and ideologically in compliance with the requirements of the present international and national situation and for the advance of the anti-imperialist socialist cause.

In the past 40 years after its founding, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has achieved numerous successes in the struggle against imperialism and for the interest of the working masses.

Particularly, your Party has carried out the socialist cause and expanded and strengthened the Party ranks and could make success to obtain many seats in the last year’s election. That is a demonstration of the deep support and trust of the broad working masses on your Party.

In the international relations, your Party has further strengthened the friendly bonds with the fraternal parties through the practical struggle.

Our Party is happy to see the victories and successes of the fraternal Communist Party of India (Marxist) and express full support for it.

The Workers’ Party of Korea and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) have long-standing friendly and cooperative relations and always have rendered active support and cooperation to each other in the struggle for the common cause.

I take this opportunity to express our deepest thanks to the central committee of your Party and all the Party members for extending support for the victorious advance of the socialist cause and national independent reunification of our people.

Now the Workers’ Party of Korea has wisely led the vigorous struggle of the entire people to ensure the peace and security on the Korean Peninsular and further promote the socialist construction.

In recent years, our Party and people, upholding the Songun revolutionary line of the General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, respected Comrade Kim Jong Il, have crushed the moves of the US-led imperialist allied forces to isolate and stifle the DPR of Korea, defended the socialism and opened a decisive phase for the building of a powerful nation.

Our Party and people are making their utmost efforts this year to further increase the political, ideological and military might of our revolution and accelerate the socialist economic development in order to mark the 60th anniversaries of the Workers’ Party of Korea and national liberation in a grand way with great pride as victors.

The situation on the Korean Peninsular is still extremely tense due to the American nuclear war hysteria against the DPR of Korea and the risk of a nuclear war has been increased day by day.

In order to cope with such situation, we continue to strengthen the nuclear deterrent to safeguard the socialist ideology and system chosen by our people and ensure the peace and security of the Korean Peninsular and the northeast Asia.

We are demanding for the US to change the hostile policy against the DPR of Korea with one to co-exist with it in peace and also insisting that the six-party talks for the denuclearisation on the Korean Peninsula should be disarmament talks to withdraw the US nuclear weapons from the Peninsular, stop the military exercise for a nuclear war and remove the danger of a nuclear war once and for all.

Under the correct leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korean, our army and people, the youth and students are united single-heartedly around the Party and fully ready to meet any provocative moves of the US imperialist.

The Workers’ Party of Korea and the Korean people will perform its international duty faithfully with the active support and encouragement from the fraternal parties and the progressives of the five continents, including the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

In conclusion, once again, I would like to wish you great success in the 18th congress, which is of great importance in the political life of India and for the accomplishment of the international socialist cause.
