Comrade Anil Biswas Condoled
MESSAGES of condolence over passing away of Comrade Anil Biswas have poured in from all over the country and abroad from fraternal parties, governments and prominent individuals.
President A P J Abdul Kalam, vice president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and prime minister Manmohan Singh have condoled the death of Anil Biswas. In a message to Anil Biswas’s wife Geeta Biswas, the president recalled that he knew Biswas personally and his death had deprived the nation of a person who worked for the welfare of the needy.
The prime minister in his message expressed shock and profound sadness at the passing away of Comrade Anil Biswas and said that Comrade Biswas was a great son of Bengal, a truly patriotic Indian and a wise leader with a modern outlook who had dedicated his life to the welfare of our people.
The speaker of Lok Sabha, Somnath Chatterjee condoled the untimely passing away of Comrade Anil Biswas and said that he had an organising ability that was unmatched and with his amiable disposition and concern for the causes of the common people, he had earned the respect of all.
The Communist Party of India (CPI), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and All India Forward Bloc have condoled the death of Anil Biswas. The Tripura state committee of CPI(M), CITU, SFI, DYFI, United Forum of RRB Unions, All India Regional Rural Bank Officers’ Federation have also expressed deep condolences.
