AIKS Membership Crosses 2 Crore!
THE membership of the All India Kisan Sabha for 2005-06
crossed 2 crore according to its general secretary K Varadharajan. The exact
membership now stands at 2,00,19,302. The membership in 2004-05 was 1,88,52,910.
Notable aspects of this increase are that Rajasthan
witnessed a huge rise in membership by 92,000; Kerala and Bengal witnessed a
rise of more than 9 lakh membership while the combined increase in Orissa,
Maharashtra, UP and Tamilnadu is more than 79,000.
