The
Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of
THE
political crisis in Andhra Pradesh with regard to the Telengana issue
has
deepened with the resignation of many MLAs and MPs belonging to the
Telengana
region. The inaction of the central government and the Congress
leadership in
resolving the issue is the main cause for the present impasse.
It
is more than six months since the Justice Sri Krishna committee
submitted its
report to the central government. The home minister had convened a
meeting of
political parties from Andhra Pradesh soon after. But after that, the
government has not taken any decision.
The
Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) demands that the government take a decision
on the
matter immediately.
